We had so much fun this morning hiking. We went with some friends from our ward and their two adorable boys. This is pretty much at the end of the trail...as you can see, the girls are really exhausted :) Lucky for me I had Riley to help carry the girls most of the way. After carrying Ellie for a while I was so tired! Glad we did the whole hike!

The girls had a blast trick or treating this year and they loved dressing up! Ellie was a pirate and Ava was tinkerbell.

The easter bunny came to our house on easter! Watching the girls dig into their easter baskets was awesome. Riley and Ellie shared a basket :P Riley got me all of the Seinfeld episodes. He is the best husband ever! That was such a shock because I was not expecting it at all! I have the greatest family :)

DISNEY LAND!!! We had so much fun at Disney Land. Thank goodness for Luke and Robyn and her sister Leanne. They were awesome! They helped with Ava and Ellie while we got a chance to go on some of the rides. I don't know what we would have done without them :)

Ava loves her dad! :) They got to sit in Mickey's house. Lol! Toon town was closing and we rushed to go through Mickey's house. Well...we went through the house and it kept taking us further and further back. Thinking we were almost to the exit, we get to a small room with a short line. There was a worker at the front of the line and so we were like huh, maybe it's another ride type thing. Riley asked her what the line was for and suprise, it was to meet Mickey! Yay, we were very happy! Ava didn't know what to think :)

Here's Riley after he finished his certification. He said the gear was crazy heavy. I'm glad he had fun!

Riley and Luke went scuba diving from this boat. They went to the NOSC tower. So FUN! I don't think i'll ever be able to ever be that far under water. It's nice to hear Lukes diving stories though, and now Riley has some too :)

Elk on the Freeway!

About ten in the morning on Wednesday I looked at my phone and realized I had a text message from Riley. There was a heard of elk that got on the freeway and it was closed until they could get them off the roads. Well, after reading the message I thought to myself, NO WAY... that's awsome. I ran to the tv turned it to channel ten because I knew they would recap the elk story. I called Riley and said hey that's CRAZY, I have the news on right now and i'm gonna see if they show it again. Then Riley said, do you remember what day it is? Ya, it's Wednesday, the first. He asked, what month? I said April...you terd and we both laughed. April Fools!

Okay so Riley and I took the girls to get our pictures taken last week. His cousin Randy took them and I think they came out way cute!!! I'm so excited to get them developed and hung on our wall :)

Ava love Ellie so much and is such a good big sister! She loves giving her big hugs and kisses. Ellie is the happiest baby ever. We are so blessed to have the most beautiful girls in the world!!!

I can't believe we've already been married for over 3 years. Time goes by way fast. :) We've had tons of fun so far.

Ava's talents

One of Avas new talents is smiling for the camera.

Her smile is so big her eyes dissapear. She quickly figured

out that right after the camera flashes she can turn it over and

see herself, so she started smiling every time she see's

the camera. What a ham :)

She know how to say Hi and Bye and has

a different wave for each. Usually when

she says bye she says it to the door instead

of the person, but she's got the right idea.

Ava loves giving kisses lately. At first she would open

her mouth and slober kiss, so we taught her

to do fish lips which makes everyone laugh, so

of course she does it over and over!

and making her famous waffles.

Christmas

Ava loves to push things around the house and

make engine noises (dadys little girl:), so we

figured Santa should bring her something with wheels.

We debated between a Monster Truck and

a shopping cart, and decided the shopping cart

was probably better...for now :)

On Christmas morning she could see the shopping

cart from down the hall and stuck out her arms

and ran straight to it. It was so fun watching her!

She loved helping us open our gifts as well.

Annette got the Cricut machine she's been wanting, so we

made some simple modifications to her sewing desk and

made it into a sewing/cricut desk. She is very talented

with crafts and has already put some mileage on the machine.

Ava's 1st Birthday

Ava enjoyed her birthday party even though

she seemed a bit overwhelmed by all the attention :)

She had fun playing with cousins and friends and

showing off how fast she could walk, although

with so many family and friends her feet hardly

touched the ground!

The back yard prooved to be a great place for

the BBQ and the weather was PERFECT!

Our old tree house finaly got the

attention its been needing for a while.

Annette had a blast being a cool

mom and aunt and played with all

the kids. Ava loved all her gifts!

Christmas Lights at the Temple

On Sunday we got to go to the temple to see the concert and

the Christmas light display. We went with Annettes family and had a

great time. It was actually a little chilly out and felt like Christmas.

the Temple. She just got a new car seat and is

loving it. Now she gets to face forward and

watch whats going on.

probably because of all the attention she gets :)

We are so blessed to live so close
to the temple. Ava really enjoyed looking at

all the lights. Its crazy to think that it was

only last Christmas when we brought her home

for the first time and soon we will

be bringing home her little sister!

THANKSGIVING

Getting all cleaned up and ready for the guests.

Ava loves to stop at the drinking fountain at

church every time she walks by it, now

she's found one at home.

Luke and Robyn came to stay with us for Thanksginving

along with Robyn's Parents who flew in all the way from

New Zealand. We got to bring them to the Jarvis family

Thanksgiving lunch and introduce them to one of our

favorite holidays. We ate tons of food, visited lots of family,

played some football, and went on a hike in the desert.

We loved having them and hope we can take them up

on their offer to come visit them in New Zealand.

Ava wasn't quite sure what to think of all the people
staying in our house at first and was kind of bashfull,

but she eventually warmed up and loved having

them stay with us.

October

We got to go on the ward campout. It pored and hailed all morning. We were in the tent trailer so we were loving it!

Ava has learned how to walk almost overnight. She thinks its so funny to walk, she usually cracks herself up and sticks out her tounge, probably for balance.

Halloween

We took Ava out Trick-or-Treating for her first Halloween. She was a big hit! Annette did an awesome job on her costume- she almost looked like a real skunk :)

We took her to some of the
scary houses but she didn't seem to know that it was supposed to be scary.
She didn't seem to know what what was going on bet she sure loved watching everyone and squishing the candy.
